Just found a Takumar Kogaku 3.5 100mm but has OIL!!

I just found this wonderful lens at a thrift store today, but I have noticed that it does have oil on the blades. It is causing them to stick randomly. Is it worth paying the repair? I did only pay $8. Or could it possibly be some other internal problem? The rest of the lens is so clean, it looks to have been never used. Probably stored somewhere hot for a long time. Thanks everyone.

On another note, my friend found a very clean Asahi Black S with a 55mm 2.2 lens a few weeks ago at the same store for $10!! He had no idea what he truly had, but does know that any older Asahi body with lens is worth the ten bucks. Ughhh....

I'd be curious to see inside that lens, presets don't usually have a problem sticking when there is oil on the blades. Russian presets are notorious for oil, to the point where they smell like gun oil, but I've never heard of one sticking.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal to repair.

You should post a review and some pics as soon as you have this lens back, that would be really interesting since you'd be the first reviewer...

That is just SICK !

Every time I drop into a thrift store for a camera/lens look see, I find only junk
That is a camera that has eluded me.

[edit 6/26/2014] It cost far more than $10, but a black 'S' is now mine

Yeah I couldn't believe it. Of all places. Supposedly less than 500 of the black made and it shows up in a small town of 30,000 people
