In reviewing the posts It prompted me to go back and look at the tests I did when I bought the lens. (I check all of them for exposure)

what I saw in automatic apature mode, was at F2.8 the histogram on my "block wall test" was at 110, and by F32 it was at 140.

Given the normal exposure is about a value of 120, this places the tamron lens failry consistently at -1/4 to -1/3 stop at f2.8 and +1/4to +1/3 stop at F32 with extremely close to ideal exposures in the middle.

The slight errors, at least in my lens, have not bothered me. I thought I had posted a review of this lens in the data base but in looking, I did not. (I will do so in the near future)
