I am thinking about getting a Tokina AT-X AF PRO 80-200 mm F/2.8 Lens and want to know if a 1.4 converter will work with this lens on a K-5 II body?
Maybe someone has used this combo on a Pentax dSLR.

which TC? I have an 80-200 and both kenko and vivitar 1.4x

actually I still even have a sigma 2x and promaster 1.7x

if I get a chance i'll see how they work together

I hadn't thought far enough in advance as to which TC. I have been reading about this lens and for the money it looks pretty good. I am hoping to use it at my granddaughter's rugby games, but not sure if it is long enough. . The only experience I have with that focal length was when I was shooting with a Canon 5D and Canon 70-200mm, but I used it for landscapes, not sports.
If I wait another six months, the lens I would like to get is either the Pentax DA* 300mm F4 or the Pentax DA* 60-250mm F4.
