52mm-38mm adapter?

hi everyone,

this may be a stupid question, but have you guys heard of a 52mm-38mm lens adapter? large to small adapter? i was just wondering, i have a few 38mms and i'd like to see if i could actually use them.

There are step down rings, but 38mm is a pretty uncommon size. There is also the possibility of vignetting with some lenses.

As Elliott says 38mm is not common--I suspect one could have an easier time using one or two step down rings (to something less than 38 mm) and then find a (slight) step up to 38mm.

The cost and inconvenience of the step down/up rings combined with the potential vignetting makes this more of an academic question--in practice it is not likely to be useful.
