Quick "hack" to improve the 60-250mm lens hood access

While I appreciate the clever design of the DA* 60-250mm lens hood, my brand of CPL (B+W) was quite difficult to turn with just a single finger through the available access port, so I "improved" things by adding a simple rubber band as shown in the attached photo. Obviously, different brands may not require this, but as the B+W is an exceptional polarizer, I didn't much fancy replacing it just so I could access it via this hood. Now all is well in the world.

YMMV

Michael

Those rubber bands are useful for all kinds of things since they're so big. More reason to eat your veggies!

Rubber bands useful for more than preventing lens creep. I like it!

Ingenious. I have had the same problem with the 50-135.
I had decided the hole in the hood was only useful as a drain in inclement weather.
