Filter on DA35LTD

I am/was about to buy a filter for my 200mm and I think I want to get one for my 35mm, but with the front lens element so far back, I was wondering if it's needed or even recommended.

Thoughts?

I just got my DA35. Without the hood pulling out, I would say it's pretty close to the surface. But since it's a build-in hood, I would say the filter is not worth it.

I'd say it's a bad idea. With the 35mm focusing so close, the filter might possibly get caught in the DOF.

I have a B+W mrc uv filter on mine. I get so close to some stuff that I can touch the front. I'd rather something touch a filter than the lens.
