OK my revised lens line up.

Now that the *istD has passed on and I have had some time to use other lenses ( not all on the K20D ) I have revised my lens line up.

Da 21mm Limited to be added in may
A 28mm F2.8 going
Fa 35mm F2 kept
Pentax 35-80mm F4-5.6 going
F 50mm F1.7, going with the *istD
A 50mm F1.7 kept
DA 70mm F2.4 Kept
Sigma 70mm or 100 F2.8 macro adding soon ( wish they had the 150mm in Pentax )
Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 going
Sigma 100-300 F4 adding soon ( can't wait for the 60-260 )

The tokina 28-70 F2.8 and 400mm F5.6 going. I will wait on the Pentax 17-70 F4 before deciding on what next. I also don't go wide often so the 21mm should be fine for now to.

So what do you guys think.

BTW the *istD has gone to my younger Brother doing journalism.

Nice Line up, Congrats!
I have the DA 21 & 70 myself, so I can only say that keeping them is justified. You could consider replacing the FA 35 with the DA 35 ltd (I have that one myself, it's a swell lens.)

I only don't understand why you keep the A 50 and do away with the F 50...

Other than that: very nice line up that should keep you going for a while...

looks like you've got every range covered except for the super wide
the DA21 is great, makes the SLR feel like a P&S when you need it

couple of questions.

the 28070 F2.8, is it AF? same question with the 400 F5.6.

If so, I think getting rid of them is a mistake.

even if the 28-78 is not AF it would be a great walk around lens.

If you let go of the 400 F5.6, I would add a 1.4x TC for the 300mm F4. the extra reach would be worth it.

I also think you need a 10-20 or 12-24 somewhere in the line up,

the Tokian lenses are AF but they just don't have the sharpness to match the K20D, hell even the 70-300 sigma is sharper in comparison, I will add the 1.4 TC and thats why I'm waiting to see how the 17-70 F4 works out before I buy a zoom in the range. As for super wide, I'm waiting to see if I actually use anything in that range before I buy.

Now question about the F 50mm vs A 50mm, I think my F lens has a nasty focus bug on the K20D, it works fine on the *istD tho. so it goes with he *istD untill the 55mm F1.5 shows up, and is the new 35mm macro that much better then the 35mm F2?

Can't you fix the focus issue with the adjustments on the K20D?
