Pentax M 28mm f/2.8 Test Shots (with fungus)

I bought this lens not knowing that it has fungus. The seller in ebay didn't mention anything and it wasn't until I examine closely a month later that it has something odd on the real element -- it has fungus, not a whole lot but not small either, some amount that keep me from using the lens. I placed it under the sun to hopefully kill and stop the fungus. I have placed it in my to-be-sold items as part of my recent endeavor to trim down my gear. I love the compactness of this lens and it is so small that it is the smallest lens (the poor man's pancake) in my gear. But I have two 28mm and one has to go in my trimming

And even with fungus, it delivers in sharpness and color. I thought fungus will degrade the contrast in a lens, but I can't see the problem even in original crop on test pictures

Even with the fungus, this lens looks VERY sharp. I really like the photos of the fire truck...

Thank you. I like them too. Quite sharp and I took those fire truck photos in f/8.0. But in previous test shots, I actually did a couple of f/2.8 and they come out quite good also
