Would The '43...

be wide enough for Yosemite?

Looking at your gear, FA 31 would be more appropriate. Yosemite would love the wide angle.

It depends on the camera-subject distance and what you want to include. But I would say wider is better.

It might be too wide. You could be better off with a 300. What is your perspective?

If you're asking if the 43 would be good as a one-lens setup for Yosemite -- no.

If you're going there you might as well go all out and bring a wide, normal, and tele lens.
