How to Engage Macro on a 60 - 300 f4.0 Lens

Greetings! I recently picked up a mint condition zoom lens, branded Sears, 60mm - 300mm Auto Macro f4.0 - f5.6.

I have removed the dreaded Ricoh pin.

My question is: how do I engage the macro? The closest I can focus is about four feet away. I have read on other threads about the sears lenses that one must engage or disengage the ring beside the aperture ring, but I'm insure how to do this.

Any help would me much appreciated!

There is no Macro mode on a Sears 60-300. 4 feet is as close as it will focus at 300mm.

This lens does not require you to turn a seperate ring to activate the macro feature. You just line up the green Macro arrow with the Macro numbering on the side, then begin focusing with your feet.
