origin of my 2 K1000 cameras

I have tried to use you site and have now signed up but I find your organization difficult to use. I simply want to know the place of manufacture of the two Pentax K1000 cameras I have. The serial number of one is 6658326 and the serial number of the other is 7453243. Am I correct in assuming the first was made in Japan and the second was made in Hong Kong? I would also like to know the fair price that I can ask for them in good condition.

Welcome to the Pentax Forums! I believe the rule of thumb with K1000s is that the engraving on the body indicates country of origin and if there is no engraving, the origin is assumed to be Japan.
