LBA: Vivitar Series 1 105/2.5 macro

My latest lens aquisition...the much-loved Vivitar S1 105mm/f2.5 1:1 macro!
I got it this morning and I've already gone outside to play with it. Here are some of the first images:







After this experience, ironically, the itch for the DA35 macro has resumed.
If I can get that kind of results from a much lighter weight lens, then maybe I should see about scratching this itch. My birthday is coming up in July, so that may be a good birthday present to myself.

Are you doing these handheld or using a tripod?

They really look nice! I like the yellow one with the ant portrait!

The photos are showing up now!

Nice snag Heather!
I purchased my copy off of the bay a few weeks ago and love it!
Here is an example of my main use for it.....

Here are a couple more--the first without a tripod and the second with the tripod. Tripods definitely do help when doing macro.
