I certainly will, and then it's a tossup between the A50/1.2 and the DA 35 Ltd Macro.

.....but realistically the FA43, FA77 and the DA55-300 just missed the cut by a micro hair.
I seriously could live with just those five if I had to.
and a tough life it would be to......

I did a search here and on dcreview.com; this question was posed several years ago, but with the introductions of the newer Pentax offerings of WR, HD as well as cheaper primes, I wonder if many of those that had favorite Pentax lenses may have changed over time. If there were 2 lenses that you could keep, what would they be and why?

Mine would probably be my SMC-F 1.7 and my new HD 55-300 WR.
My favorites depending on the shooting I will be doing: DA 21 Limited and DA 35 mm Limited Macro or DFA 100 MM WR Macro.

At this moment FA31 Ltd as my normal prime and FA100 2.8 Macro for macro, close-ups and portraits.

But this is subject to change constantly considering a major component of my LBA is:
Being never satisfied with what I have!"
I'm sure many would agree!

Maybe I'll say... 17-70/4 and 50-135/2.8 for today.

For now, this is DA21 & DA*50-135. Can get most of my shoots with this combo and I really like what they can do.

My only concern is 50-135 being too huge/heavy. But man, it does a fantastic job and would require at least 2 primes to replace... And there not 135mm prime out there.

FA77 definitely, and a toss-up between the FA31 and DA*300. The DA*300 wins in a penalty shoot-out.

Two lens are difficult now. The one for sure is my 18-135 WR because if covers a great range and is just a really nice lens. Then I guess I would go with my 55-300 because I love taking pictures of birds and wildlife. It would be tough to forgo the Sigma 10-20 and I would have to give serious thought to going with the 300 over the 55-300.

I have two bodies. One has the DA*300 with or without TC. Vast majority of my shots are with this lens.

The second body has cycled between the 12-24, F100 2.8 macro and now 35mm 2.4 limited. Not quite sure, but I think it might stay for a while.
