I had the weirdest dream last night. I was in the theater I think, in line for the restroom actually and a friend of mine walked up to me and said,
FRIEND "Hey, take a look at this." It was a lens, it looked like one of those 800mm f/8 mirror lense so I looked at him and said,
ME "An old mirror lens, is this an 800mm?" and he said,
FRIEND "No its a 770-1500mm."
ME "A what?"
FRIEND"A 770-1500mm"
I took a closer look at the lens front and it read f/5.6-7.3. Then I gave the whole thing a closer once over and it was made by Pentax! And the logo was totally like nothing that I have ever seen, the PENTA looked normal but the X was like stretched out and part of the hinge for the tripod mount, its real hard to explain. I have never dreamed about a lens before... all kind of weird. I think I need help.

I had a Pentax dream last night--appeared to be some sort of digital LX with the metering continuing during long exposures including dynamic viewfinder feedback. Body had sort of a square, chunky LX look & feel but it had sort of a head-up display look in the viewfinder. I wish I could play it back again and again...

...What did I eat for dinner last night?

I had a dream last night too!

I was in Staples, and I needed something to write with, so I brought my selection to the cashier, and she said, "That's $1 for the writing instrument, and $10 for the government."

I replied, "$10 to the government?!? - What the devil is this?"

She answered, "It's the new pen tax."

I woke up in a sweat, and my K100D was sitting on the nightstand right next to me.

I'm certain I put it in its bag before I went to bed.

OK, it's only 400-600mm and the aperture is a meager F/8-12, but it's certainly the same concept as your "dream lens."
