Thanks again for all the help. Im going to take another look into the 21mm and the others mentioned, I also think going through and looking at my commonly used focal lengths is a really good plan too.

Here's a deal for the Sigma 10-20 that Adam posted. It is under 400 dollars. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/94-pentax-price-watch/267014-sigma-10-20m...99-80-off.html

It should be mentioned the the DA15 has unparalleled flare resistance. It is pretty much the only ultra wide angle you can shoot towards the sun with.

You have various options: fixed like 15 limited and Pentax 14mm (nobody talks about it); Samyang 14mm or zoom like Pentax 12-24, Sigma 8-16, 10-24 or 12-24; Tamron 10-24.
For your budget, I think you can find some of them new or used. You have already seen the comparison among the zooms in the in-depth review section.

I my opinion, you have to focus on your selection criteria. Ultra-wide lenses are complex, hence are compromises in the price, distortion, sharpness, focal length... Some time ago, I bought a Sigma 12-24 (first version) because I wanted a FF capable lens (I also use film) with less distortion as possible (no PP for film...). This lens is great on this point of view but my copy (there may be difference among them) is very sensitive to chromatic aberration and flare. I know the rules of the games and I have to adapt...
