Surgery needed ?!?!

I read somewhere that the Tokina RMC 28mm f2.8 needs some surgical adjustment before it can mount on the new pentax DSLRs ... is that true ??
(and what is the 'operation' that the lens muct go through??)

There are 2 possibilities. The 'Ricoh' pin and the 'Vivitar' aperture flange.
