Need lens cap help.

You're welcome. Yeah, I have a lot of old NGs which I got from my grandfather. I enjoy having them for the ads as much as for the articles!

Google books has back issues of Popular Photography up to look at, but I can't find the ones in our time window....

I checked and couldn't find anything. I wonder if there even was Popular Photography in '58?

I need someone with a MIB K camera and lens to notice this thread.

I know it's really not a big deal what cap I have. It's the joy and challenge of the hunt that I like.

Scroll down to the picture of the K body with Auto Takumar 55 f1.8 and cap. It looks like the cap Monochrome described earlier in this thread.

And that site belongs to P.F member SteveM .
I once contacted Steve for some information and he was very helpful.

Good job, Tim. I forgot about that site. I probably put it out of my mind because I get jealous when I see those beauties that Steve has....hah!

So, for me, it is settled. I need to find a TAKUMAR cap.

Thanks for the verification.

I've found out that that particular cap is a hard one to come by. Makes sense though since the lens is not one of the easiest to find.
