Missing Image Data - Sigma 17-70

I used the 17-70 in Manual mode today. When viewing the image data in Pentax Photo Browser 3.12 the Exposer Compensation and Lens Name is not shown. Also, the Focal Length, Shutter Speed and Date was highlighted in red, something I have not seen before. BTW, the same data can not been seen in InfranView after converted to JPG either so its not just the Pentax software. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar results.

I'm returning the 17-70 tomorrow (not for the above reason) for the 18-50 EX as I really want the f/2.8 throughout the range.

Well the red highlights just mean that that data is different compared to the previous photo. It can be turned off if wanted. The other missing data I am not too sure about though.
