How about a Voigtländer SL 125/2.5 Macro lens for $2899.00 Including shipping, anywhere?
For that price (US$) I'm willing to sell my Voigtlander. Serious offer.
Buyer can pay me by Paypal (add 4%). Lens shipped from Singapore. Guaranteed mint.

Why don't you put in the Marketplace and see what happens? You never know.

Heather
I currently have 5 macro lenses, so you know what I like to use.
Also I'm kinda worried that if I sell the Voigtlander, I might just suffer seller's remorse later.
Hmmm, maybe if I'm really, really desperate for money I might just do that.

Creampuff, don't do it!!! Somebody just might buy it! You will regret it, eventually! Do not sell the crown jewel!!

We have now decided to go with google checkout payment, hopefully i will get a bill on my account before i go to bed (which is in 3-4 hours, since i work nights in Norway), the lens will then be shipped tomorrow hopefully When i get home i will have ALOT of fun with my new DA16-50 (hope its a good copy), my new metz 58, and this beloved crownjewel. Actually i think my LBA is almost cured (maybe i need the 50-135 soon hehe)

I've sent out the bill and I should be getting the money soon.

As for the replacement, I've decided on either the Tamron 90 (who can beat the price of $359.95 after rebate?) or the DFA100/2.8 like I was originally going to get ($439 at Buydig with no rebate).

Any opinions?
Heather

That may be a possibility. The only thing that turns me off from it is that it's so heavy--I have small hands and a tendency for tendonitis to flare up in the right wrist (no thanks to my day job), so lighter is better. I will take another look at it, however.

Libbe,
I may not be home by the time the money shows up in the account, as I've got to make a trip to the in-laws for my FIL's b'day dinner, but I'll check my email once I get there and once I have the money, I'll try and sneak away to the PO, which isn't too far from their house to mail the package. If I absolutely can't get there today, I will most certainly get it mailed out to you on Monday.

Ok Heather, now that you have done this are you going to get a new macro or the Sigma 10-20mm? My vote is for the Sigma, but I am curious to see what your choice is.

Since I now have the DA35 macro coming, it might make more sense to get the 10-20. If I'm not mistaken, the Tamron rebates have been extended to 8/31, so that gives me time to save up about $250 to supplement the $200 in birthday money that I usually get.

On the subject of WA lenses, I got my copy of the June Shutterbug magazine yesterday and they had some more info on the Tamron 10-24, I'll be posting most of that info in another thread, but I will say that it is going to be faster than the Sigma 10-20. The speed on the Tamron is supposed to be f3.5-4.5. Still, no price or released date has been announced.

Heather, I'd say to get the Tammy. I have the older version of it (the non DI one) and I simply love the lens. Great macro, but also excellent short tele and long portrait lens, excellent for flora, butterflies etc. I've found that 90mm is a very good focal length for the kind of shooting I do. Of all my primes it is one of the most versitile.
