The package has already been mailed and it's on it's way to Libbe via USPS Express Mail.

Steffen, the tracking number is in a PM to you. I think we'd all like to see your first pics with it once you get it.

So now...another macro or wide-angle?

Should I get another macro (the Tammy 90 or DFA 100) or the Sigma 10-20?

I wish Tamron would give us an idea of the 10-24's release date and price and that would make my decision a little easier--if I knew that it would be released in the fall, then I'd just go ahead and get the macro and save up for the 10-24, assuming that it's any good. Keep in mind that I also have the DA35 macro on order, as well. If I get the Tamron 90 now, I can also get the $90 rebate, making my effective cost $359.95+shipping from either B&H or Adorama. That $90 could go back into the lens fund to fund the WA zoom purchase.

So what do you think?

Heather

PS--I just realized that I'm down to only 1 lens until Tuesday when the 55-300 comes. I am feeling a little naked now.

Personally, I'd go for the Sigma 10-20. It depends on your priorities though.

I too have the 1 lens syndrome at this time. Once the money is there I'm going after the Sigma 50-150, maybe by mid-late Summer.

Heather, I would guess it depends on whether you like wide or close. With your Sigma you've got about 1/3 of the Sigma covered already. If you get the 90mm you get an excellent macro, and like I said a good overall prime. On the other hand I can say that I really like my Pentax 12-24, and I use the 12-18 end of it more than I use the 18-24 end of it. There are good things about both. However, the rebate is NOW, and probably finite. I'd go for the 90mm macro, and put the rebate towards the 10-24.

NaCl(I'm always one for rebates)H2O

I just wanted to give a note to anyone watching this thread, that the lens arrived to me in PERFECT condition a couple of days ago! I posted my first images taken with it; you can find them here in the post your photos section
