SLR lense fitting DSLR?

Hi there,

I've been lucky enough to inherit a Pentax K 1000 with 2 lenses, filters and a tele converter. The lenses are 55 mm to 200 mm, Albinar, slide. The second one is a Pentax 1.5 50 mm. My question is : What dslr camera (Pentax) will fit those lenses? I'm wanting to buy a newer body and use those lenses if possible. I was worried they've changed the mounting.
Thanks for the info!!

Any lens that fits on a Pentax K-mount film SLR will also work on any Pentax DSLR.

Oh I have!! I've been obsessing for about..3 days! I've had the equipment since March, and didn't think much of it. (So ignorant I was). I've been in photography school for almost a year now and someone said something about using slr lenses on dslrs and I instantly got excited, not even knowing what I had of course. I'm so thankful I didn't up grade my Canon, I've been eyeing the 5d Mark 2 for a while, but it's so expensive and older. Even though Pentax doesn't make a full frame camera as of yet, (am I right?) I'm still excited, because according to one of my instructors, I have a "you can shoot the moon with this lens". Anyhoo, thank you so much!! Happy shooting!! T

If your Canon is a crop sensor model, those lenses will work on it as well using widely available adapters. A "chipped" adapter will even allow focus confirmation.

Don't getting too tied up in knots about no full frame camera. Get a PZ1 and load it with film. The number of times you really need a full frame camera is really so limited that there is no big deal, and a PZ1 can use every lens made, except those with SDM focus motors.
