er...when focusing lens seems to skip (like it is shuddering) and doesn't focus.

Never had a problem like that, does the focus ring feel fine when focussing manually? You'll probably feel it tightening at some stage, or not feeling smooth through the range, if there is any mechanical problem?

I suggest you dismount the lens, make sure the AF contacts/screws are clean on both the camera and lens. Next, try turning the focus ring, see if it works normally off-camera. Any resistances, odd sounds? Are the focusing ring and lens barrel nice and round, or maybe squashed to an ellipse?
Then mount the lens, and make sure you twist the bayonet until it "clicks" into place. With new lenses, this can be a little rough, but it has to click for the AF contacts to be aligned.
If you did all of this and other lenses AF fine on that camera body, then the problem is inside the lens and it probably needs servicing. Hope you still have warranty
