I picked up my DA 35 macro last year on Black Friday but I doubt if I will buy anything this year.
That would be a good pick for me at Black Friday !

I'm waiting for something decent ($75-100 off) on the DA 18-135.
I'd buy that lens used. I've seen them regularly on ebay from between $200-$300.

For me, here are my purchase points.

1) Heavy discount on the DA560
2) Heavy discount on the Sigma 300 f/2.8
3) Blow out of last of the K5iiS kits
4) Blow out of forgotten discovered 645D cameras
5) Maybe a Q blowout in there

After that, I pretty much have what I need...and I can save my money for the FF in the spring.

(This! or a heavy discount on last of Pentax mount Sigma 500 4.5 for me)
2) Heavy discount on the Sigma 300 f/2.8
3) Blow out of last of the K5iiS kits
( I have a feeling this is happening now - may not be any left or any reason to go lower by then. I picked one up today with grip and card from B%H to be safe)
4) Blow out of forgotten discovered 645D cameras
5) Maybe a Q blowout in there
(Blowout on the Q7 will make me buy another Q body here.)

After that, I pretty much have what I need...and I can save my money for the FF in the spring.

I had been waiting for Black Friday for the 77mm, but I snagged that at the sale last month (last month?) Then, I was waiting for Black Friday for the 40mm, but I bought a used copy. So, for the moment, I'm out of lenses I want!
Out of lenses I want....? What is this phenomena you speak of? i have never heard of such a thing....

But seriously, I would love to pick up a HD DA 55-300 WR (for oh, say, under $300!)

Yeah, I spoke too soon. I ended up having to return the 40mm because that copy was subpar, and now I think I might want a macro lens......mmmrrryyeeerrghh.........

Anyone getting ready and/or waiting to pull the trigger on a lens this year?

Before the recent sales, I had several choices I hoped would be fulfilled at BF, but, find that my acquisitions have since caught up with my desires.

Except the desire for the as-yet unavailable Pentax zooms revealed at Photokina.

Well I might be out of the Black Friday frenzy before it's even begun... Yesterday Staples had killer sales on iPads. I scooped up an iPad Mini 2 32GB WiFi for $299! So there goes most of my Black Friday Funds.... But a worthwhile purchase indeed.

Same thing happening for me - just so many awesome deals before the actual BF. I think that's what the retailers are hoping for - get your money first. Got an awesome deal on a Dell XPS 8700 desktop that I've always wanted, and kind of off the norm, a set of forks for my tractor loader. Who would have thought a tractor implement manufacturer would have a Black Friday sale.........

I was stalking the FA77 or the DA* 300, but both monitor and washing machine went down the other day, so the plan was compromised. Any ideas for something cheap that I could snap?

On my Side, I finally pulled the trigger on a 1TB SSD Hard drive to fasten my laptop... Got a pretty good deal on a Samsung 850 Pro SSD, I took the last one available... that's the price of a good lens!, but will ease my workflow quite a bit !

I can honestly say that installing an SSD as my O/S & program drive was the one best upgrade I've ever done.

My big Black Friday purchases have all been things that were needed. A new wet/dry shop vac. Not exciting but very useful. I also bought a new router. I was getting tired of unplugging my old one 3 times every day and resetting it.
On the camera side, I ordered the Sigma 150-500. I have been in need of an AF telephoto for a while and the current sale price is very, very good. Sigma has had a $200 instant rebate for a couple of months and I was kicking it around and when the made it a $300 rebate, it was hard to resist. This lens has been on my radar for a while.

I picked up several excellent used lenses at great prices. I suspect the crazy low new lens prices helped convince sellers to accept my offers.
