Originally posted by Na Horuk And if you are buying new, I doubt you would need warranty. Pentax lenses are pretty good in this regard (except the problems with focus motors - the SDM lenses, but Pentax claims this was fixed now)
To be honest I don't know anything about this topic because my only experience with new Pentax items is my K50 with the DA 18-55 WR and everything works fine so far (5 months).
But it is absolutely good to know that the quality is pretty good and warranty is not often necessary.
Thank you.

I think that outside Italy is impossible to find something more expensive...

Originally posted by mgvh I have both the DA 35 f2.4 and the DA 50 f1.8. Both are very nice. I've ended up using the DA 35 much more because of the focal length. It has been an excellent indoor lens, especially for use in museums w/ no flash.
As others have noted, if you still want a 50mm, the M or A 50 f1.7 would be relatively cheap and are very nice to use.
Your experience is similar with some other Pentax Forums users and I think that it is the best way for me, to buy the 35 and an old 50. I have never used a manual focus lens and I am sure that there is a lot to learn about it but with practice it will works!
Thank you!
