Bumping this thread because I'm still interested in learning about more unique lenses.

Ugh, I really would love a tilt shift. Why must every single tilt shift regardless of quality be stupid expensive?

Did you check out the Arax T/S lenses? They make a couple, as well as a shift adapter. Pretty sure they come in m42, but they might also be available in K-mount. They are not stupid expensive, but the quality isn't stupid good, either. So, okay, I guess they are stupid expensive for what they bring, but they are not as expensive as other TS lenses was my point. I think there was only one thread by a user that actually bought one.

Why not get a used sony nex and a tilt adapter. Cheaper than buying K mount TS.
Both are m42 Takumars the second one is on a $30 tilt adapter 1

For me it's a Sigma 10-20 @ 10mm

It's relatively affordable as well

Thanks

Randy

I've just started shooting with a Petri Orikkor 50mm f2 from 1959. I'm using it this month in the Single In July challenge. It has pretty interesting bokeh. Not sure how common these are, but I got mine dirt cheap. (cross posted from Single In July threads)

I have always liked the Zenitar 16mm fisheye. The nice thing about it is that on an cropped sensor camera the fish eye effect can be heightened or diminished depending on your framing and composition. Also I can get some nice flare effects with it.

For me it's the DA 10-17 fisheye...such a versatile lens and I love the close focus on it. Also, the taks always have a very distinct personality to them...especially my SMC 50 1.4.

+1 for the Zenitar 16mm. It's cheap, it's sharp once you've got it set up properly, and when you want to it can be de-fished perfectly in software.

Wow it is actually quite nice and it seems like it's the best bang for buck fisheye you can get

+1 on the E mount bodies being great with older Pentax lenses. I dare say my A6000 does some things better with M and K lenses than my K3.
