At first I thought Japanese hand made are more controlled and more .... oh well guess if they brought a QC to viet it will be the same too

Isn't the "made in" basicly where the lens is assembled; rather than where the lens is made?

I ponied up the extra money for a MIJ, low-serial FA43 since it was the first Limited and the lens was available when I had the money. The other two I've gotten on deals from B&H. I cannot imagine how the MIJ versions can be any better than these are (especially the 77). I guess the suppositions about coatings and glass blanks formulae is probably gear guy echo chamber.

For my view I don't care. I'm selling everything and simplifying. I have stellar wide, normal and short tele lenses, an FA50/2.8 Macro and I'll get one of the new zooms and the 1.4x TC.

All the new lenses are AIV, aren't they?
