It's probably been there since 1970s and it's being sold at MSRP.

I think it's a Tokina EL 28mm f2.8. A decently sharp 28mm, 52mm filter, solid construction, a Ricoh pin but rounded and spring loaded so don't worry about it.

It is not the Pentax SMC A 50mm F2.8 Macro lens. It's not even Pentax (silver "A" button, no white/ivory bead), no ID ring on focus barrel, DOF scale too spread out for a macro and no magnification markings. Odds are it is a 28mm or 35mm F2.8 wide-angle prime.

Take the lens cap and the UV/Skylight filter off and look at the ID trim ring on the front of the lens. Take a photo and post it if you can. The ring should have a brand, focal length, max aperture (f/2.8), filter diameter and perhaps a serial number..

Funny, but I just identified my mystery lens from your old post, Just1MoreDave. Then I saw your post here Yes, it seems like tokina EL 28mm. The package is on the way, and the seller was not helpful, but ok with return. Not sure I'm keeping this lens, wish it would be vivitar.

Just received the camera. Yep, it's Tokina EL 28mm f2.8, number starts with 85. The mount is P/K (written on the lens' back) , but it's obviously with rikoh pin. The lens itself in very good condition, very clean inside, snappy, no oil, just a bit signs of use outside.
Hm... to do the "surgery" and test it, or return as is, or sell it ? I will show pictures soon.
And the focusing screen on A3000 is very good. To cut it for K200D or not bother?

Thanks, guys. I love Vivitar, but own old big Vivitar20mm f3.8 (great!). Actually I was thinking about 28mm, but Pentax F, which actually impossible to find for $20

Lots of sellers ship internationally.

When I was buying I found those who shipped internationally tended to get higher prices because they had a world market - more buyer competition.

Always seemed strange to me the number of US sellers who would not sell overseas (cutting their market to only US) and also the number on this forum who seem reluctant to buy from outside US.

Is the problem trust (of the foreign counter-party) or shipping time (plenty of comments on the forum about 3-day delivery seeming too long). The value of this stuff is so low it should not be taxed on the way through.

Here, did not clean any dust yet. To remove the pin or not?

When the "Ricoh" pin is rounded (as pictured) it is usually not a problem. When they are a squared off peg like the mounting lock pin they will almost always jam. Taking the lens out of the "A/P" normally allows you to release the rounded pins if it catches.

For peace of mind - remove the pin.
