Whatever you do don't get the DA15mm Limited! you'll end up being mind-controlled by a lens.

But you don't have a Vivitar Series 1 70-210/2.8-4 QDOS yet.

I should probably list all the lenses I've bought, tried, and sold.

Why not?
I do an inventory listing from time to time, it's fun!

Just off the top of my head, the Quantaray 70-300, Pentax A 50 f/2, Pentax M 50 f/1.4, Hoya 35 f/2.8, Vivitar 70-210 and I forget the f stop, but it was a heavy manual lens that was sharp, but had bad CA on long distance stuff, Sigma 20 f/1.8, the newest versions of both the Sigma and Tamron 28-300, the DA L 18-55, and more K mount stuff that I am forgetting now along with some teleconverters and screwmount stuff. My film cameras will likely join the list of sold stuff too. I've already sold a few film bodies and flashes too.

Trust me. It is not worth it at all. I was very disappointed in that lens, but I did sell it for a profit. My Sigma 18-35 would absolutely destroy it in a head to head comparison.

I can think of a few more you can buy, but really don't need.

Thanks for the info... well... I certainly won't risk buying it... even the 18-35 is well out of my price league ATM...

I think I am to the point of the next logical upgrade would be a camera body, but from what I am reading the K3 might not be that much of an upgrade. I will see what rolls out next. Of course, and I wasn't joking, if things work out like they may over the next 2-3 months I might get a 645z and a lens to go with it, then fill in with some older ones.

Complete?
No limiteds, no f/1.2 glass, no macro, and way too many zooms covering similar ranges.
You still have a long way to go

For sharp, reasonably fast, and cheap the Tamron 17-50 would be the way I'd go because it beat the 20 out in all but speed in my experience.

I goofed around with various spreadsheets I've kept over the last 15 years. I quit coutning somewhere around 200.

Recently I changed my approach entirely. Since I got the K-3 I really haven't used film cameras or manual focus lenses much (about a year now) so I executed the dream plan (+1).

FA31/1.8 | FA43/1.9 | FA50/2.8 Macro | FA77/1.8 | DA55~300 (candidate for replacement come spring)
DA40/2.8 Limited (perma-mounted on the K-01)

Aside from a long lens or a FF zoom and the 1.4x TC I think I'm fully covered and it all fits in one shoulder bag
