55-300 & a TC?

Has anybody tried the 55-300 with a TC yet?

Thanks!

Come on then, don't be shy...

I'm keen and impatient to see this as well...

I'm thinking this might be the great way to avoid a Bigma.

Same here, saw a fruit bat tonight against the moon. Cool. Only have a K10 so no high iso advantage...

You don't need high ISI to photograph a full moon.
Moon is very bright. Almost sunny 16 rule will do.
Try F11, 125thsec and is0200 for a 250 to 300mm lens.
Keep the speed up as the earth is moving at 1000 miles an hour.

Javier had earlier posted very good results with the Tamron 70-300 and the 1.4TC. He said he had no issues with AF even though the lens is slow for a TC. It would all depend on the light.

I find it works well with the FA*300/4.5. Good IQ and fast focus unless it's dark or a very low contrast/confused scene.
