Tokina 80-200 SZ-X f1:4.5-5.6 (It looks like the previously mentioned SD 70-210, but performs excellently.)

For what it is, the DA 55-300 is pretty small.

Small is obviously relative. It is nearly a foot long zoomed out and with the hood on.

The FA 28-105mm F/3.2-4.5 is very compact and light given the range it offers. Some reviews talk about focus hunting, but I've had zero problems on my K-01. Happy with the output, too.

I am normally in the habit of zooming it in and reversing the hood before putting it in my bag, where it fits comfortably.

M24-35/f3.5 is another small zoom and performs well on FF. Although range is limited, perfect for the landscapes.

I think "huge" is a bit of a stretch.

Here is the 16-45mm in an OpTech USA 2.5" deep accesory case along with other Pentax lenses for comparison. I find it to be a great little lens.

YMMV

Michael
great kit you have there

After the DA 20-40, the best of Pentax's small zooms may be the FA 20-35 f4, which weighs only 245 grams and is only 7 cm in length.
+1, I love my FA20-35, really light and compact, great lens optically as well!

Pentax-FA 28-70/4 is a very good lens in my opinion. not as small as 35-70 though.

Yes, I suppose, they turn up every month or so. Worth getting one before the value rockets with any future FF camera.....

Dare I say the 18-135 Pentax? Not much bigger than the 18-55 or anything similar.

Tried mine for the first time today on my almost new K5iis and liked what I saw. Need to try it out on one of my MZ cameras (and change) my signature. It is smaller than wife's 16-45 but that too is not huge.

For a telezoom the DA50-200 is remarkably small and light, less than 80mm long and only 250g.

I have longer and better lenses but if I'm heading out and want to pack a 'just in case' tele it often ends up in the bag because of the negligable size and weight penalty.
