Does it work? Vignetting? Anyone with samples?

Works great, no problems at all (less it being MF!)

If Pentax releases FF, will there be any functionality difference between DA*55mm and any "official" FF lens?

The 55 would probably need a different hood to be officially full frame, otherwise I think it will be fine, with some vignetting wide open.

These are some 55 shots on Tmax 100.

Sorry, should have mentioned the hood isn't compatible.

In terms of vignetting, it's no worse than any other ("full-frame") 50mm f/1.4 I've used.

Short answer : Yes. Work great.

Long answer : The lens is awesome : color rendition is excellent, very real and correctly saturated. Quite sharp from f1,4 (if focus is correct of course). razor sharp from f2. Never flare, never ghost.
slight vignetting like any other 50/55 f1,4.
The original hood is a bit too long and induce some vigneting. But the coating is so great, you can take it off all the time.
I guess there won't be any difference with a DFA designated lens.

If you like to shoot film already, you will probably love this lens.
