As of today, I own another 3x 50mm (ish) lenses. My total is now;

DA-50mm f/1.8.

Helios 44-2, 58mm f/2.
Fujinon 55mm f/2.2.
Auto-Takumar 55mm f/2.2.

Plus I have my eye on another... wuh-oh.

Edit: The Fujinon has a fair amount of fungus on the rear element only. The aperture (pressing the pin only) is a little slow to return for the first press after changing the aperture. Not sure whether to try and salvage it or send it back... The rear element shouldn't be that difficult, the aperture would be out of my knowledge set.

Well the above has certainly changed. DA-50mm f/1.8 has gone. The SMC-A and Helios 44-2 are currently going up for sale. The Fujinon is now back with it's previous owner given the vast amount of fungus present. My list currently stands as:

SMC-A 50mm f/1.7.
SMC-A 50mm f/2.8 Macro.
Auto-Takumar 55mm f/2.2.
Helios 44-2.

The A50/2.8 Macro is perhaps my favourite out of the bunch, but the 50mm f/1.4 does produce some stellar images... I'd love an A version of this but the price is, usually, considerably higher than the £35 I paid for this good example.

And a friend of mine gave me an old Canon FD 50/1.4 with a bent filter ring.

So that makes 1 M42 "50", 4 Pentax 50's, and a Canon FD 50 - somewhere between 4 and 6... so I need at least a K and an F to complete the family. And all in 1.4, 1.7/1.8, 2.0, 2.8, 4.0 (where available)... quite a bit ahead of me.

Sold one copy of the 50mm f/2.8 Macro, keeping t'other ad infinitum. As above, perhaps one of my favourite lenses to date.
Also sold my 50mm f/1.7 which was relegated to the 'shelf' after the arrival of the M50/1.4; again, I'd love an A-version of this...
Finally, bit of a stretch but sold my Helios 44-2, not quite 50mm but close enough!

Just got a Jupiter-8 50mm/2 in M39 mount, which I will be playing with on a Panasonic DMC-GF2 Micro 4/3 camera I recently picked up. Not sure if I'll be keeping it. Also a Fujinon 55/2.2 in M42 last week, which I probably won't be keeping, it isn't especially nice. So my only other 50mm lenses will probably continue to be my 50/1.4 Nikkor, the horrible little Itorex Pan-focus 50mm f40 (yes, really 40), a body cap design except that it fits into a T-mount, which I have made some stops for so it can actually be used at other aperture, and a damaged Pentax KM 50/1.7 I use to test extension tubes and teleconverters for Pentax.

Later - forgot to say that the results from the damaged 50/1.4 Cosinon weren't very good, I sold it on.

Right not I have the DFA* 50 1.4 and the F 50 1.7. I regret selling my DA*50 1.4 due to the smaller size and weight compared to the new DFA*50, although the new 50 is optically amazing.

I'm primarily a Nikon user for my own work (also use a Fujifilm bridge camera and a Sony Cybershot with infra-red capability occasionally) - but I buy and sell old photographic gear and try to include test shots from everything I sell, which is often the fun part of trading. Because of this I own several other DSLRs including a K200D, which I use as my test-bed for K-mount lenses. See my profile for the full list (which doesn't include a dozen or so old 35mm bodies I use for testing metering etc.), it's very silly...

Ah, I thought you had converted a Nikon 50 over to k-mount and was using that. One thing that Pentax seems to have done right for decades is nice 50's.
