For Pentax I have a M 50mm 1.7 that I purchased new, circa 1980.

These probably don't count but I also have a 50mm 1.4 Nikkor, also purchased new, around 1968 and a Minolta 50mm 1.8 (I think) mid 1970s vintage, that I inherited from my dad.

As you can tell I rarely let go of anything...

I've blown thru quite a few in the past few years..
Rikenon P 50f/2 and 55/2.2, sears/ricoh f1.7 and f1.4, DA1.8, A1.7, and my current A2.0. One of my Ricoh film bodies has an XR 2.0 attached as well. Wish I still had the f/1.4, it demanded focus peaking as even with zoom I could not focus it well enough back then.

Not even one if you're talking about the primes. But hey, does the crop factor play a role?

If yes, then..
FA31 -> 46.5
DA35 -> 52.5
...I'm not far away

Pentax -
SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/1.4
SMC Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7
Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50mm f/4 Macro

Minolta
MD 50mm f/1.4
MD Macro 50mm f/3.5
fifty-ish: MC Rokkor - PF 58mm f/1.4

When I acquired the Pentax-A f/1.4 I thought about getting rid of the f/1.7 but the 1.7 is recommended for macro work so it's a keeper.

The Takumar Macro is the one I use the most.

I currently own:
- DA* 55/1.4
- K 55/2 and
- Super Tak 50/1.4,

I have also owned:
- FA 50/1.4 (sold for SDM quiet focus motor)
- F 50/1.7. (acquired and sold as a profit making venture because some one didnt know what they had)

I really should not have spent any money and just used the K 55/2 - its a real beauty but i didnt know it because I was still learning, (...and reading these darn forums - no one ever really talked about that K 55/2). I was thinking I needed a 50mm macro... but sigh..

LBA is a cruel mistress....

I sold an XR Rikenon 50mm f2 cheap because I got it cheap and I did not want to test it. I sold a few more working my way up the ladder, like an A50/1.7 when I got an A50/1.4.

I try to give equal time to a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50/1.4, Pentax-A 50/1.4, Pentax-F 50/1.7, Pentax-M 50/4 Macro and Sigma 50/2.8 Macro.

I have two Pentax-M 50/1.7s to go on two old film camera bodies, two M50/2s for no reason and I think three A50/2 parts lenses.

I have many 55mm lenses also. My favorite is the SMC Pentax 55mm f1.8. I have three other Takumars with the similar formula. I have a Mamiya/Sekor 55mm f1.4 and an Auto Rikenon 55/1.4. I also have a Vivitar/Komine 55mm f2.8 macro.

I've had a whole lot of 50's over the years, but digging through the current stash.... I still have a lot

Sears : 50mm F1.7 & F2.0 : Came with a couple of Sears cameras in the early 80's, but they were both made by different manufactures. I used the 1.7 for years in all sorts of weather conditions without a second thought and it's still sharp, the glass is clear and it still focuses smoothly, built like a tank.
Carl Zeiss Jenna Tessar 50mm/F2.8 : Nice color, but almost too small. I have not used this one much in the last decade, but in the day it saw a lot of use.
Industar 50-2 50mm/F3.5 : Very small and sharp. When I'm taking my M42 kit out, this goes along with the macro Tak
Helios MC 77K-4 50mm/F1.8 : Unique bokeh
Takumar Macro Takumar 50mm/F4 (Early Preset) : Just as sharp as the DFA 50 Macro but smaller, lighter and not as fast, 1-1 magnification and one of my favorites.
Pentax A 50mm/F1.2 : Use on special occasions. Had it for years, still in great condition, but I tend to baby it now.
Pentax A 50mm/F1.4 : Saw a lot of use over the years, but I now go to the FA rather than this one
Pentax A 50mm/F1.7 : If I'm packing light this lens gets the nod.
Pentax A 50mm/F2.8 Macro : This and my DFA version are my sharpest 50's
Pentax FA 50mm/F1.4 : My most used 50 along with the DFA Macro 2.8
Pentax DFA 50mm/F2.8 Macro : My other often used 50, probably the sharpest of the bunch.
iTorex Pano 50mm/F40: This is basically a fixed aperture T-Mount optic that makes the DA40 look big. The depth of field is really deep but you have to have tons of light. Only use it for fun on occasion.

Lenses that are close:
Pentax K 55mm/F1.8 : I liked this one so much that I ended up with two of them.
Helios 44 58mm/F2.0 : M39 version
Helios 44-2 58mm/F2.0
Helios 44M 58mm/F2.0
Helios MC 44-3M 58mm/F2.0 : Macro version of the 44 - sharper overall than the others and without the 'swirly' bokeh
Helios 44K-4 58mm/F2.0 : K mount version - seems to render more pastel like than the MC 44K
Helios MC 44K-4 58mm/F2.0 : Multi-coated optic K Mount Version

Sad, but there may still be a few I forgot.

Steve

50 mm lenses

Total of 13, including the Helios 58 mm and two Canon 55 mm.

D FA 50 mm f 2.8 macro
Pentax-A 50 mm f 1.7
Pentax-M 50 mm f 1.7

Canon FL 55 mm f 1.2 converted to K-mount
Canon FD 55 mm f 1.2 converted to K-Mount

Sears 50 mm f 2.0
Sears 50 mm f 1.7
Sears 50 mm f 1.4

Helios-44K-4 58 mm f 2.0
Rikenon P 50 mm f 1.4
Auto Revuenon 50 mm f 1.4

Auto Chinon 50 mm f 1.9
Auto Chinon 50 mm f 1.7

Favorites:
Pentax 50 mm f 2.8 macro -- the sharpest lenses I have ever used.
Canon FL 55 mm f 1.2 -- sharp AND bokeh queen
Sears 50 mm f 2.0 -- rendering and sharpness are excellent
Helios 44-4-K 58 mm -- rendering, color make this lens a no brainer at $45

The Canon has to be the winning favorite, partly because it is so cool to be capturing Canon fd 1.2 bokeh on a Pentax K-3!

Whoa now that is funky! How is the sharpness/diffraction? Is the lens any better than a pinhole?

50mms

I have the following:
F 50/1.7
DA 50/1.8
DA* 55/1.4
Zeiss 50/2 Makro-Planar
Zeiss 50/1.4

(Sold) FA 50 1.4

My favourite would be the Zeiss Makro, the microcontrast is superb! Beats the DA 55/1.4 hands down. The DA 55/1.4 is excellent when autofocus is essential.

Don't know, Will have to count them up:
  1. Takumar 50mm F 2.0- M 42 mount
  2. Super Takumar 50mm F 1.4- M42 mount
  3. Pentax 50mm F 1.8- K mount
  4. Takumar 50mm Macro F 4- K- mount
  5. Leitz Elmar 50mm F 3.5 collapsible (1940's) Leica screw mount
  6. Pentax 50 mm F 1.4- K mount
  7. Pentax 50 mm Macro F 2.8- K mount

I guess I got a lot of them. Bought and used over many years. Still have every one, since I bought my first one, which came as part of the deal on my new 1968 Pentax S1a SLR.
