I do most sincerely wish that people would quit posting photos from the Takumar 85s until I can afford to buy one!!.

After seeing a few test shots from one ... I thought it was money well spent really. And after shooting with it myself ... I realise what a jem of a lens this really is.

I took your advice Mike ... and I found a 105mm f/2.8 (thanks to Gruoso on here) and it is in transit as I type.

That's getting to be a sweet list of Super Taks you got going there, Simon. So, when are you going to pick up a 35 and a 50?

Hold on to that lens. It's getting stupidly expensive now. Lost an ebay auction for over 350$ the other day.

Great shots, great lens.

EDIT: Sorry, misread the 350$ is 1,8f This one is a bit cheaper but still getting expensive.

I think this should do me for now I think.

I am happy with my FA50 f/1.4 .... I know it's not a Super Tak .. but for what it is ... I am impressed with it that I don't see the need for another 50mm.

Not sure if it is worth getting the 35mm ... but then again ... if i come across a bargain ... I'll jump on it I guess.

What I am after though is the 16mm (or was it 17) Fisheye version that is meant to be out there as well ... if i can't find one ... I might just look for the 16mm Zenitar FE.
