DA 50-135 not focusing

I am thinking about having my DA 50-135 focus motor repaired, and since I haven't dealt with repairs since Ricoh has done their thing, I need to know the correct repair shop to deal with.
Thank you in advance for any pointers.
Joe

During the transfer from CRIS there were concerns expressed about the new facility but recent reports indicate that most people have been satisfied with the repairs and the speed of repairs from Precision. the DA*50-135 is such a wonderful lens that it would be a shame for you not to get it repaired soon.

I just dropped off my DA 50-135 at Precision on Wednesday (yes, during the snowstorm on my way to grandma's...). They said they should have it shipped back to me within 10-15 days. I thought that was a pretty quick turn around. Good luck! Definitely my favorite lens and hated to not have it. My problems were intermittent, but my warranty is up next week, so I figured I better have them check it out.

Oh man! That is rough. I love the lens, but have steered clear of other SDM lenses for this exact reason. Bummer. Hopefully you get it fixed and will have many years of trouble free use!

A free alternative is to convert it to screw drive. It'll be noisier afterwards, but faster to focus.
