Test shots DA*200mm F2.8

These are the first couple of shots of DA*200mmF2.8 as taken and uploaded by my daugher in DC a month ago. Just simple resizing with zero pp.

These two were taken wide open.

At F4. I love the bokeh of this one

I did very little actual shots of the lens except this candid at F3.5

The results look very good already.

At f2.8 - f4.0, and 200mm, this lens is going to excel at bokeh.

Good luck with it.

Are you aware that there is fewer hockey shots/posts in all forum. It is difficult- very very difficult indeed. Ultra fast action and the projective plexi shield are just pain. I have been waiting for a Tamron 70-200mm. Instead I have to settle with a FA135 & DA200. Not quite as appropriate giving the fixed FL.
Something I will try an work on

People always talk about how hard hockey is to shoot. FAST.....yes. The plexiglass is not that much of a hinderance. Most Hockey shooters are trying to get their kids. I will just get behind the bench and shoot over their heads. I was also at a tournament this spring in VA that they actually had platforms/scaffolding for aspiring photography/video people. THey had a full time shooter there that had four remote strobes around each sheet and he had some great pictures. Lotsa bad ones (we bought the DVD), but some really good ones.

I want this lens so bad, it's not even funny. However, I must pursue a newer body first, then comes the 200mm.

This is where I will be getting my shots from - with no plexiglass...

These were taken with a C***n P&S before I had my K10D. I am soooo looking forward to next season.

Most people would not have access for the vantage point. I love it. But it would be difficult to get facial interaction/reaction which is the hard hard part of hockey
