Vivitar S1 70-210 version 3 >>Stiff Zoom past 100mm<<

I'm wondering if it needs some new grease/cleaning or some screws adjusted? The ring seems to be too stiff and stick just past 100-210. If a bit of minor cleaning without removing elements and regrease is required what grease would you recommend? I have some german MoS2 grease but heard that Moly isn't good for lenses as it separates. Lithium or bike grease? Isopropyl alcohol with swabs to clean?

Mine is just a bit stiff - but at least it doesn't creep.
