It's not that low in Canada. Regardless, the Sigma 18-50 is doing more than I expected so I'm pleased.

Metalfab: took a look at your pbase gallery and noted some interesting dates on your photos. The one for the overhead plane shows 03 June 2008. You're pretty good to be taking photos in the future.

Hmm, pentax now has a 100$ rebate for the da* 16-50 which brings it down to 569$ after rebate. And the sigma 18-50 is 419$. That is a 150$ difference. Do you think the pentax 16-50 is worth it if I bought it now?
that's only with the purchase of the new k20d or k200d body.
i think a lot of people tend to overlook that requirement.

Different time zone?

Thats odd, PBase time stamps the uploaded image so they obviously have it wrong, my EXIF data shows; DateTime - 2008:05:24 21:40:54

I picked up the Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 to replace the crappy kit lens I got with my *ist body, and I'm very happy with it. Needless to say, I'll never mount the kit lens again.

Bigger hint; 135mm;

It's my imagination or I see CA at the right edge of the dark building on the right of the image? What about a full image or 100% crop?
