Pentax Da 200mm f2.8 hood

How big is the hood on the da 200mm f2.8. On the Amazon website it does not look that big, but on other websites it looks HUGE about the same length as the entire lens ?

About 3.25" or 80mm long. Mounted to the lens it extends the length of the lens about 70mm.
