Have you got your 1.5 converter yet?.....K3 that is......
Hopefully today. If not then Monday. Looking forward to see what this baby can do with my current lenses including the F*300. Did you notice an improvement over the K-5?

Yes definitely...... people have gone on about the pro's and con's on this forum for some time....... however my K5II has pretty well much been resigned to a back up body......... the K3 is a step or two along the evolution path....... u will notice the focusing benefits and resolution benefits straight away...... I also prefer the way it handles etc.......I'd sell my K5II and replace it with a second K3 if they were as cheap over here as they are your way.........but I'll probally wait and replce it with a FF pentax if it eventuates.

As far as output of the K3 is concerned......I'm taking better photos then I ever have......part me, part equipment......so the K3 does enable photographic growth.......

I must admit I've never noticed to much of a difference between the K5II and the "S" or even the K3 in sharpness after image processing ......I shoot Raw and definitely apply more sharpening adjustment/levels to the K5II image though.

PS. When I say "noticed" I mean no person looking at the images/prints would see or comment on.

My F*300/4.5 and I are interested in this topic
looks like I might go ahead with planned F 1.7x AF buy then
F 1,7X donīt transfer the focal length, so you must put it in yourself for SR.

The F*300/4.5 works fine with the Tamron 1.4 and the Vivitar 1.4 (yes, the $99 tc sold by adorama). I do not advise using the AFA 1.7 with an AF lens, you lose most of the AF. That is to be used with the Pentax-A lenses. I will post some pics with both: The pics below were takne with the 1.4 x Tamron TC. I am still looking for the ones with the Vivitar 1.4x. BTW, the noise produce by the F*300 is still there whether you use the Tamron of the Vivitar, or none. The birds will hear you.

I really like the manual prefocus needed with the FA*300/4.5, the AF then is very fast and quiet.
Funny old world
