I'm hoping to buy some real moments of connection to the world around me........ honest...... hopefully I'll get to photograph some so I can remember them with all their pentax rendering......generally my life needs a lift in contrast and saturation on a regular basis.

Of course, I'll be cursed by materialistic moments as I go (part of the human condition)..... like 4 minutes ago when I just bought a new ........

I would really like a high end compact like a ricoh gr or fujfilm x100/100s. I also would like to upgrade my flash from the gigantic potato masher I use now.

Last years expenditures included a billingham hadley pro, a sigma 17-50 2.8 and a hd 55-300 ( still haven't recieved yet). Now I need to take more pictures, I always need to take more pictures.

To be honest I'm pretty much tempted by the DA limiteds (15 / 21 / 40 / 70).
But I don't know...None of them (maybe with the exception of DA70 ?) is usable on the mythical FF.

And what's even worse, it would be outright duplicity to FA 20 / FA 31 / 43 / 77 ltds which I already have. So my wife would finally conclude that I'm insane.

Planned? This is like asking a junkie what's his budget for dope.
But let's pretend there is a plan one can stick to... FA31 and DFA100WR. And a travel tripod.

Why bother planning? LBA wins every time.

One or more Pentax Auto - 110 lenses for my Q camera. I use it only for adapted telephoto, so I need any small and more "normal" lens. It is a bad case of LBA, because in the end I will probably buy one genuine Q lens

...but at least to rationalize it, I'm trying to find Auto - 110 lens at a bargain price...

I'm saving cash for something with a FF. Right now, that's going to be an A7mII, but I'm hoping Pentax will come up with something before my trip to Germany this spring. I'm also on the lookout for a few more rare-ish M and K lenses.

Finally out of school and actually making money at work, so I'm planning on grabbing the Pentax FF when it comes out, and offload my K-50. Perhaps pick up the FA 31 as well so that I have at least one autofocus FF lens amongst all the M glass

oh, and a new laptop is likely on the books too, this one is two years old now, so time to upgrade

Last year I promised myself I would only buy one lens; I ended up buying six. Now to be sure, four of the six were bought with money raised from lens and photo sales, so it's not quite as horrible as it looks.

This year, I will make no such promise to limit myself to one lens. But I'll be taking a 20% reduction in my income in February, so financial restrictions will limit what I can buy far more than any self-imposed (and often futile) resolutions. At best, I can hope to afford one lens, which will probably be the Rokinon 10mm f2.8. Any other lenses or photo gear I buy in 2015 will have to be payed for either through lens or photo sales.

There are, of course, lenses I would like to get but can't afford, like the DA 16-85, the 1.4x teleconverter, the HD DA 21, the HD DA 35 Limited, and the DA 560, etc. etc.

Actually, come to think of it, it's probably better I can't afford to buy lenses, as I would end up buying way more glass than I could ever use.

That would be a nice resolve: I'll only buy a single lens in 2015! .....................................DA560!

What is likely to happen, given that I got a nice bonus this year, is the replacement of the WR kit lens with either the 20-40 or the 16-85. I'll wait until more info is available about the latter, and I'll see how the price evolves. It might also displace my Sigma 17-70 but honestly I doubt it.

It's early in the year to say 'no more' but it is probably true.
Sigma 150-500 is on the way from Perth (Western Aust). That is 3466 kilometres.
I tried to find one closer, but the distributor has none and all the retailers I tried on this side of the country had none and didn't know when to expect any.
The Aussie dollar has slipped a bit and the RRP of $999 is not likely to hold up when new stock arrives, so I am pretty happy to get it at $88 less than that.
