How could you guys forget this one:

Pricey, yes, but it's the best 135mm lens that money can buy I've seen some amazing shots by this lens. Do I want to have one? You bet. But I can only afford the K135/2.5.

Some shots by the K135/2.5:

Bro, I guess the A* 135mm f/1.8 didn't get mentioned because it is just so rare and too expensive for the most of us. I'd love to get my hands on one but I'll need to beef up my muscles first (and wallet too).

Hope it gets to be reintroduced and updated to AF with SDM. I have seen the lovely images from my bro-in-law's Canon EF 135mm f/2L USM and I am sure if Pentax do come out with an AF version of the 135mm f/1.8, it will give it a good fight. Great pictures, btw.

On the other end of the spectrum, you could go with this sharp little cheapie mystery 135:

Name that 135!

Could Makinon or Hanimex take you into the Macro Zone !??

Back to the OP, the K 135 2.5 is probably one of the best relatively-affordable 135's you can buy, but the SMC Takumar 135 3.5 will give you colors to die for also, and the M 135 3.5 is super sharp and contrasty, good colors too. I think the K is just a tad better in every area, besides possibly CA and flare.

Possibly a Super-OZECK?

I have an Ozeck around the place somewhere and it's a cracking little lens. It was really cheap because of it's no name branding but it puts in a good performance.

Nice and sharp but perhaps lacking a little contrast.

Look for a Carl Zeiss Jena M42. I bought one a couple years ago for about $30 and it is one of
the best lenses I have. Wonderful bokeh.

I got a M-135/3.5 a month ago and I love it. I had no idea it would be as small as it actually is, and that is one of the best aspects of it. It is very easy to squeeze it into your camera bag and always have a telephoto lens on hand. The retractable lens hood is a great touch as well. Now, I'm curious to see how much larger the 2.5 is.

I'll be the first one to back up your claim. I have one and I'm loving it!

Also does some decent macro.
