New Sigma lenses (85mm f/1.4,24mm f/1.4,24-70mm f/2, 135mm f/1.8) are coming?

There seems to have rumors that Sigma will show 85mm f/1.4,;24mm f/1.4; 24-70mm f/2 OS HSM and 135mm f/1.8 DG OS in CP+. Sounds very good news. As a comparing, pentax will show a new DSLR demo ... Not so exciting if not FF demo ...

Which lens attracts you most?

Personally, 85mm 1.4 Art attracts me most :-)

24/1.4, if it's not too big.

I think this lens is a pipe dream: it will be massive, and cumbersome - for little benefit. All the 24-70mm f/2.8 lenses for current makers already resemble bricks enough as things are.

I guess it will be 1200-1500g... 2.5 - 3lb's monster

Tru dat. My Sigma 24-70/2.8 is a beast. 82mm filter size.

I have the 24-60mm f2.8 Sigma - great lens. A 24-70mm f2.0 would be better, perhaps about the perfect lens for modelling photo shoots. Yes, it'll be big, but on a camera like the K3, it should balance well. The f2.0 aperture would be incredible for heads.

I'm in line to buy one!

It might not have the pentax mount :-(

I don't see much point in using studio flash with an f/2 lens, especially a zoom lens which would be more optically compromised than a faster prime stopped down to the same aperture.

Boy, I don't know. The current 24-70/2.8 only begins to feel somewhat balanced on a K-3 with a grip attached. Without a grip it's totally front-heavy.

I think a 135/1.8 will always attract me most. Then the 24/1.4, I suppose. But that's hardly fair, because I already have an FA*85/1.4 that I'm very happy with. And I think it matters more than all the other lenses I have.

Still, 135/1.8 would be a game changer that might overshadow the 85/1.4. If I had Sony A-mount that would be the case, but of course their 135/1.8 has slightly better IQ than their (also excellent) 85/1.4 in the first place.

Maybe he's thinking about outdoors; I agree that it'd be of little use in a studio.

Guess I'd have to put it on my Rebel T3ii. That wouldn't be the end of the world. I do have the 77mm f1.8, the Pentax-M 35-70 f2.8, and the Pentax-M 50mm f1.4, so I'm not hurtin' that bad.

But that new 24-70 would sure make a dynamite outdoor people lens.

Definitely agree . . . I think any zoom like the one being considered is a handheld, outdoor tool. Indoors, the 77mm f1.8 don't come off my camera!

Definitely the 135mm 1.8. I already have the "old" 85mm 1.4, and optically it doesn't seem to have much room for improvement, but an Art version with lens-dock compatibility will definitely be welcome. I use my 85mm a lot for my daughters' ballet and gymnastics, and the 135mm 1.8 should be perfect for that kind of thing.

Hopefully the new lenses make it to K-mount!

I guess 135mm 1.8 will be $1000 and 85mm 1.4 Art will be $1500. But the old Sigma 85 1.4 has been very good already!

I hope you're right, but it seems like you have the prices reversed?
