My FA 28-70 f/4 lens has started showing 31mm FL (on the taken image info) when set to 28mm. If I physically hold the lens (rotated fully against the 28mm end) it does take the photo at 28mm FL.

Any suggestions as regards an adjustment/fix I can try.

(BTW it happens on my K-20d, K-x, and K-5.)

It's trying to show you what a great FL, 31mm is!! and it's part of Pentax's marketing to make people buy ltd lenses.

exactly =))) the 31 ltd is just uncomparable
