DA 50mm for low light and portraiture.
DA 35mm for normal, everyday photography.
On crop sensor 35mm is much more normal. It is good for almost all photography, except really low light, and portraiture (I find the DA 35mm makes a person's face a little too round if you are doing headshots)
Edit: Also, there is the DA 40mm. Comes as SMC limited, HD limited (newer coatings), and XS version (super compact, originally bundled with K-01). They are optically practically identical, but the XS is smallest and cheapest. the 40mm is in between in focal length, only f2.8, but it is very sharp and contrasty.
There are a couple past threads about DA 50mm vs. DA 35mm vs. DA 40mm XS. All of them are good lenses at great prices. Most important is you get the focal length you want. All in all, I would recommend the DA 35mm right now. You can buy a manual 50mm, like Pentax A 50mm f1.7 for those artsy, bokeh photos where AF is useless anyway. Or buy them both used.
