I think the confusion is that this person has it listed as Pentax as the brand name when I searched for Pentax Lenses: Kenko 3X Teleconverter for Minolta Mount | eBay

How about which one of this would work or be best

You're going to have a tough go auto focusing... the 2X teleconverter will rob 2 stops of light. At the long end your lens will now effectively be f11 - pretty dark for focusing.

What about manual focussing with them ?

---------- Post added 02-01-15 at 06:49 PM ----------

I may give one of these a try at these costs. I see Sears made one also which was made in Japan.
What is "auto" about these ?

The viewfinder will be dim - it will be a real challenge to get anything sharp

Auto aperture.. as opposed to A/M M42 lenses

I have decided to scrap this idea as far as 2x teleconverters goes - no use to try it if it will be too dim to shoot with.

I wander if like a 1.4x teleconverter would have enough light to shoot?

1.4x tele is a 1 stop loss of light Most DSLR's will focus an f8 lens - you will find the 1.4 AF TC is highly sought after.

I see what you mean. The 1.4x teleconverters are much more expensive.
