FA* 24mm Hood compaitibility

I have seen the question pop up a few times, but never really seen a definitive answer, other than the pentax 6x7 lens hoods dont fit it.

Does anyone have the 16-45 or the 17-70 as well as the FA* 24mm that can confirm PH-RBB67 or the PH-RBM67 fits the 24?

It seems that finding a hood for a FA*24 is next to impossible.

I doubt it. The hood of the FA*24 has a very different system from the DA* hoods. In fact, when you reverse it for storage, you need to rotate it in the opposite direction to make it engage.

I certainly can't get the hood of my DA*50-135 to fit.

Based on the way the bayonet is made I don't think those other hoods will work, but I haven't tried so I'm not 100% sure. You could always use a round rubber hood okay.

Well I have one of each hood(although I think they're both identical) on the way so I'll find out soon enough. I was just seeing if anyone else had tried it since a lost hood for the 24 is so hard to replace.

I have both lenses (DA 16-45/ FA 24mm) and hoods:

Petals are slightly larger on the original 24mm hood.
Mounting a PH-RBL onto the 24mm is not possible.
