I've been saying for years, and way before realistic FF came along, that a revamp of the FA limited line would be great for Pentax. But WR and motors add bulk, which I don't think would be good for the line. New coatings, rounded blades, quick-shift - these would keep the lenses compact while being cheap and easy to implement.

Bulky WR and motors along with f/1.4 apertures should be kept for the * series.

I will probably not going to use them under conditions WR is required anyway. DFA* 28-70 is the lens I will bring under these conditions.
Much agreed. The Ltd are too precious to be exposed to rain. A FF version of DA* 16-50 or even DA 15-55 is more welcomed.

FA limited with WR, QS, HD coatings would be great. A silent motor might be good, too. But I don't know about rounded aperture blades, don't want to change the lens' rendering too much.
I would prefer to see Pentax fill up first, though. Like Digitalis said, re-release an f1.2 lens (*, not limited), add primes between 21mm and 31mm, add a fast telephoto portrait lens (85-135mm).. The FA limiteds are good enough that they don't need an update immediately, and a lot of people that wanted them, already have them and won't re-buy.
Revamping the FA limiteds should be a big event, a bit later, when Pentax gets some new shooters on FF, when the frenzy around the FF camera died down a bit and people saved up for lenses.

More third party support. Having moved to Nikon the new Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 VC & 70-200mm f2.8 VC are phenomenal. I also own a Sigma Art 50mm f1.4 which is actually more likely to eventually end up with a Pentax mount (maybe).

To me, the next big thing would be a FF (sing it with me....) FA* 16-50 2.8 AW. To me that would leave a huge void in than FF spectrum. They might also get some APS-C sales, as the da* is not exactly universally loved.

Maybe, but, even with HD or Aero Bright II coatings, WR and DC motor, my 31 and 77 works very well to spend +50% more on price tag for re-own this lenses

What ??
I believe (s)he is saying that his current lenses work too well for him/her to spend 50% more on new versions of the lenses.

I see the 50mm f/1.2 as a limited lens design - I don't think it should be a "*" lens, as F/1.2 glass is specialized: only a handful of professionals* I know of can typically be found working lenses faster than f/1.4 - f/1.2 and faster.. And I'm not sure if DC focus motors could handle the large lens elements that would be needed for an f/1.2 lens.

* though I'm well known for working with ultra-fast glass that is f/1.2 and faster.

Care to enlighten those unfamiliar with Aussie photographers?

FA Limited 15mm f4

D-FA 24-70mm f2.4 to f2.8

D-FA 14-24mm f2.4 to f2.8

*sigh... a person can dream....
FA limited 15 f4 will be like huge with all DCs, WRs, etc etc.. The more reasonable will be a DFA 18mm, or even 24mm F4 to replace the DA15. (all 35mm equiv 24mm).
DFA 2470 will be close since 70200 is already released. it won't be a big issue wince pentax's FA 2470 is well rated.
DFA 1424---- we will keep finger crossed.
