D-FA WR 31, 43, 77 ltds

Now that the FFK is coming, it's time for something else to pine after... Something else whose glaring absence makes us doubt Pentax.

I nominate D-FA WR versions of the holy trinity (with DC focus motors).

Maybe, but, even with HD or Aero Bright II coatings, WR and DC motor, my 31 and 77 works very well to spend +50% more on price tag for re-own this lenses

No, please leave the DC if it will change exterior design of the holy trinity. Actual adding WR might change how they look, which I prefer not to :-)

I will probably not going to use them under conditions WR is required anyway. DFA* 28-70 is the lens I will bring under these conditions.

AF motors would be cool, but I'd be more inclined to think that the same designs will just be re-released with HD coating and rounded blades.

Agreed. Perhaps the 24 can still be f/2, or f/1.8.

Personally that would be a waste of resources - which would be better aimed at extending the line of FA Limited lenses, for instance a 19mm f/1.9 ASPH ED wide and a close focusing 120mm f/1.8 ED APO telephoto would round the FA limited lens line off nicely. A Silver special edition of the camera with an optically updated 50mm f/1.2 ED ASPH WR would be nice too.

Same here. DFA200, man! But I would rather see it built like a DFA100WR + focus limiter.

I wouldn't - the aperture ring is very useful especially when working with flash. I'd keep the construction of it the same as the original if it is at all possible.

Pentax K10D - Pentax FA*200mm f/4 ED[IF] Macro.

Good point. I forgot about the lack of an aperture ring being I actually own the FA100 because of that very thing, along with the focus limiter. I just like the similarities in build the WR shares with Limiteds.

These would also be cool. I would personally pass on a DFA24mm for a DFA19mm.

Now that I think about it, they should redesign the DFA100WR with an aperture ring as well.

Screw drive works great in the Holy Trinity. Why change it? It would make the lenses bulkier. I'm even afraid of thinking what would happen if they change the coatings. What would happen to the pixie dust? There are other fast action lenses that would make better candidates.

I think WR seals may be a good minimal update but not something I would personally trade my current set in for.

Timing I suppose depends on how many they have in inventory. I wonder how many R-USA sold at deal prices Halloween (they snagged me) Black Friday and January sales. When you think about it - in terms of cash flow, what do they care about old version or new version? 100% of the price paid at the warehouse door goes to the bottom line - all the lens costs were sunk in 2012.
