The five I own: FA 43mm F1.9, Sigma 70mm F2.8 macro, FA 77mm F1.8, DA 200mm F2.8, DA 300mm F4.

The FA 31mm or DA 35mm macro would be up there, as would any Zeiss Planar/ Macro Planar for K mount you could get your hands on, or any Sigma Art series or macro for K mount.

I'll split it a little bit:

Primes:
FA20
FA31
FA50
DFA100
F135 (my longest prime at the moment... hmm....)

Zooms:
F 17-28 (but I don't own this one, pity)
FA 20-35
FA* 28-70
DA* 60-250 (let's believe it's FF usable)
Sigma 150-500

So many to choose from. Perhaps seven is the minimum for me. Anyway 5 as follows:

K28/2
FA43
SMC Takumar 85/1.8
FA*80-200/2.8
A*200/4 Macro

If I had the choice of seven I would add a UWA and tele to the list

FA20/2.8
....
F*300/4.5

A50/1.7
M85/2

For a mainly AF combo :
M20/4
FA43ltd
FA77ltd

My choices based on the lenses I have:
FA20-35/4
FA35/2
FA50/1.4
M135/3.5
Tamron SP ADII 70-210/3.5 + KM & KA mounts (KM for the additional aperture read-out for the LX).
S-M-C-Tak 300/4 + M42 adapter (probably the best made lens I have)

When traveling with the LX & K-5 I usually take:
FA20-35/4
FA43/1.9 Ltd
M135/3.5

The FA43 loses out in the first list because I don't get on with the focal length on APS-C and prefer the 35 & 50 combination. It's in the second list because if I'm traveling with the LX I want it on the front of the camera.

Last edited by johnha; 02-17-2015 at 06:33 PM. Reason: Scratch the Tamron 70-210 for the S-M-C-Tak 300/4
